I met my future hubby at the cannabis protest

I met Ed in college; I was reading there while trying to get my degree in building construction, and Ed was just going to visit campus, because she was a protestor. She didn’t have a real job, or attend school, she acquired money from a covert political group to travel around to college campuses and organize protests for or against various causes. I never even knew that was a real job someone could have! When I met Ed she was in the quad on campus, trying to collect enough signatures to put medical cannabis legalization on the ballot. I had a head full of marijuana smoke at the time, and was eager to sign her petition, and once I locked eyes with Ed, I knew it wasn’t just the effects of cannabis, it was true love. Two weeks later I dropped out of college and went on the road with Ed helping him organize cannabis rallies and protests at other schools; Ed was so romantic about her cause of cannabis legalization and that was actually attractive to me. It’s tough to find a person with that level of passion! Alas, Ed was not as romantic about myself and others as she was about legal cannabis, but all of us cut up for a while, and didn’t see each other again until Ed and I ran into each other at another cannabis rally some years later. Ed was still romantic about cannabis, however she also missed myself and others and wanted to get me back, then since cannabis had been legalized in our state, Ed was a little more relaxed, and ready to settle down and start a family. It’s not exactly a fairy tale, but i’ll take it!
