Using cannabis for Crohn's disease symptoms

One of my friends from work currently uses cannabis to treat his Crohn’s disease symptoms.

I grew up dealing with a parent who suffered from a severe case of Crohn’s disease. My mother was bed bound for years of my childhood because the disease consumed her physically and made it impossible for her to live a normal life. By the grace of God and the Advent of better pharmacology, she was put on new medication that allowed her to go into remission for a few years. This lasted through much of high school and college for me. But I lived at home during the last two years of college and remember coming home some nights to see my mom collapsed on the living room floor. She would have a sudden Crohn’s flare and it would debilitate her completely. Back then she was allowed to use the Cannabis products to treat her Crohn’s problems. These days she is restricted from using cannabis products because of the other types of medications that she gets for all of her medical needs. This is a very unfortunate thing because some people rely on cannabis for treating Crohn’s disease. One of my friends from work currently uses cannabis to treat his Crohn’s disease symptoms. He started getting medical cannabis products back in 2017 when medical marijuana sales opened in this state. It’s annoying that you have to pay the state $75 once a year just to keep your medical marijuana card. On top of that, you have to see your medical marijuana doctor twice a year. That ends up costing me $375 every year just to be a medical marijuana patient.
